Rest in peace

About an hour ago, Dan (my Grandad) took his last breath.

He was at home; it was peaceful, he had a young male carer with him, my mum was in the room next door and she’d been in chatting with the carer just minutes before. He called her when Dan hadn’t taken a breath for about a minute.

He saw all of his immediate family yesterday, had a kiss from his great granddaughter and seen his cleaners too – one of them has seen him nearly every week for 8 years!

After 6 years, 9 days away from the actual date, Dan can now join his life long partner and wife, my Nan. Together, let them rest in peace.

Regards RB, “see you sometime” x
